The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (2024)

When CBS' Two and a Half Men first hit the small screen back in 2003, it was revered for its take on the modern family. The show followed the life of Charlie Harper, a dedicated bachelor and notorious playboy, whose life gets upended when his newly divorced type-A brother moves in with his aloof 10-year-old son.

The series ran for eight seasons before Sheen's struggles with drug and alcohol abuse made it so production couldn't move forward with him. He famously got into a public dispute with executive producer Chuck Lorre, and was killed off the series. Ashton Kutcher then took over as a lead until the show ended in 2015.

All the drama aside, Two and a Half Men remains one of the most successful sitcoms of the early aughts (and makes for a good weekend marathon). See what Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones and the rest of the stars of Two and a Half Men have been up to since the show wrapped.

Charlie Sheen as Charlie Harper

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (1)

Playing the untammable bachelor whose blissful single life gets interrupted was Charlie Sheen. By the time he landed the role of Charlie Harper, Sheen was already a top name in Hollywood — not just because he was the son of Martin Sheen, but because he had undeniable acting chops of his own.

Sheen had been in classics such as Wall Street, Cadence, Scary Movie 3, The Three Musketeers and many more. He co-led Two and a Half Men for eight seasons until his personal problems made it so he couldn't be part of the series anymore.

Following Two and a Half Men, he starred in FX's Anger Management for two seasons, he appeared on an episode of The Goldbergs and starred in 9/11 alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Gina Gershon.

Sheen is a father to four kids: daughters Sami, 19, and Lola Rose, 18, whom he shares with ex-wife Denise Richards, as well as twin sons Max and Bob, 14 , whom he shares with ex-wife Brooke Mueller.

Jon Cryer as Alan Harper

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (2)

Jon Cryer played the over-protective, quirky and anxiety-ridden brother to Charlie Harper, and newly single father to Jake.

Prior to joining the cast, Cryer also had some impressive credits on his résumé. He made his acting debut in 1984's No Small Affair, but audiences really fell in love with him when he played Duckie Dale in 1986's Pretty in Pink.

Cryer won two Primetime Emmys for his performance as Alan Harper and went on to rack up credits in hit shows such as The Ranch, Justice League Action, Ryan Hanson Solves Crimes on Television, Supergirl and most recently, Extended Family.

Angus T. Jones as Jake Harper

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (3)

Playing the titular "half man" mentioned in the show's title was child star Angus T. Jones, who scored the role of Jake Harper when he was only 10 years old.

Though he had various acting credits before the CBS show — Dinner with Friends, George of the Jungle 2, The Christmas Blessing and more — since wrapping Two and a Half Men, Jones has hung up his acting cape and largely stayed out of the limelight.

Conchata Ferrell as Berta

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (4)

If "say it like you mean it" were a person, it would be the sharp-tongued housekeeper Berta, played by Conchata Ferrell, who kept the boys in check, not withholding her feelings about anything, ever.

Before Two and a Half Men, Ferrell made appearances in Teen Angel, Erin Brockovich, Mystic Pizza, Edward Scissorhands and a host of other films and TV shows.

Ferrell died in 2020 at 77 years old.

Marin Hinkle as Judith Harper-Melnick

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (5)

Nowadays, fans will most likely recognize Marin Hinkle from her role as Rose Weissman in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but before that, she also played the tightly wound, uncongenial Judith Harper-Melnick — ex-wife to Alan and mother to Jake.

Hinkle has since appeared in other TV series such as Speechless, Homeland, Madam Secretary and more.

Hinkle wed theater director Randall Sommer in 1998. The actress filed for divorce in 2023, after 25 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

Holland Taylor as Evelyn Harper

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (6)

Playing the mother to Charlie and Alan was Holland Taylor, whose dry humor, liberal attitude toward sex and detachment from her motherly duties made for a hilarious matriarch.

Of course, Taylor was already a Hollywood legend by the time Two and a Half Men came around in 2003. With a career that dates back to the late '60s, the seasoned actress was no stranger to lending her comedic chops to big and small screen productions.

She appeared in TV series such as Beacon Hill, Bosom Buddies, Saved by the Bell: The College Years and The Naked Truth, among many others. Her film credits include How to Make an American Quilt, George of the Jungle, Legally Blonde, Spy Kids 3: Game Over and more.

Taylor is currently in a relationship with fellow actress Sarah Paulson, whom she first met at a dinner party in 2005. They reconnected years later via social media and made their relationship public in 2015.

Melanie Lynskey as Rose

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (7)

Melanie Lynskey played Rose, a neighbor who had a one-night stand with Charlie, but later became his years-long stalker. Her persistence (and one very diabolical plan) did pay off, however, as the playboy bachelor realized he loved her in season 8 of the show.

Following Two and a Half Men, Lynskey established a solid TV career for herself. The New Zealand native has credits in Togetherness, Future-Worm, Castle Rock, Mrs. America, Candy as well as Yellowjackets.

Lynskey married Jason Ritter in the spring of 2020, almost two years after the ultra-private couple welcomed their daughter in December of 2018.

April Bowlby as Kandi

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (8)

April Bowlby joined the show in season 3, playing Kandi, another one of Charlie's "romantic" trysts.

Aside from her 17-episode run on the CBS show, Bowlby also had roles in Drop Dead Diva, The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother; her latest credit is for playing Rita Farr, a.k.a. Elasti-Girl, in Doom Patrol.

Though Bowlby keeps her personal life mostly under wraps, she and her husband Matthew Cooke seemingly welcomed a baby boy sometime in 2022, per her Instagram page.

Ryan Stiles as Herb Melnick

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (9)

Ryan Stiles played Jake's pediatrician-turned-stepdad, who got together with Judith following her divorce from Alan.

Fans probably recognize Stiles from The Drew Carey Show, which aired on ABC from 1995 to 2004. He's also produced and appeared on Whose Line Is It Anyway? throughout its decades-long tenure.

Stiles has been married to his wife, Patricia MacDonald, since 1988.

Jennifer Taylor as Chelsea Melini

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (10)

Playing one of the only women Charlie ever professed his love to was Jennifer Taylor, who also has credits in Shameless, The Young and the Restless and Burn Notice, plus many more.

Ashton Kutcher as Walden Schmidt

The Cast of 'Two and a Half Men': Where Are They Now? (11)

Following Charlie Sheen's exit, Ashton Kutcher stepped in as lead, playing Walden Schmidt, a distraught billionaire who is reeling from his own disastrous divorce.

The veteran actor had first been in hits such as That '70s Show, spearheaded MTV's Punk'd in the early aughts and was a bonafide leading man, following his roles in Just Married, Guess Who and What Happens in Vegas.

Kutcher has been married to fellow That '70s Show alum Mila Kunis since 2015. The pair share two kids, daughter Wyatt Isabelle, 9, and son Dimitri Portwood, 7.
